Hedeskov

Center for Regenerative Practice

In the restoration of the old Hedeskov School in Syddjurs, Denmark, the people at Hedeskov insisted on prioritising time.... Tome to promote the regenerative practice through an uncompromising focus on local materials, traditional building teqniques, research, collaboration and practical implementation.

Hedeskov aims to create and contribute to projects that not only sustain but actively regenerate natural systems, giving back more than they take.

Luckily, regeneration is how nature naturally works. Nature is generous, it naturally restores and regenerates. Nature follows principles of abundance rather than scarcity. There is an in-finite supply of energy and raw materials, we just need to understand and respect the ecosystems that bring us the infinite supply.

At Linolie & Pigment, we appreciate projects that priorituze and understand the necessesaty for time. We produce linseed oil products based on old recipes and a proud craftmanship tradition from a time when things were meant to take time — believing that it is time itself that creates the best results.

In the project at Hedeskov, both linseed oil paint and Satin Wood Oil have been used. Our Satin Wood Oil is an indoor linseed oil product designed for tinting and saturating untreated wood, concrete, brick, cork, and other absorbent materials. Besides giving the wood a completely different dimension in appearance, Satin Wood Oil nourishes and saturates the wood, making it more durable and resistant to dirt and grime, thus protecting the surface in case of accidents.

Our linseed oil paint provides optimal protection for the surface while maintaining an open finish that allows the material to breathe. The paint is especially suitable for use on wood and iron, adhering well to both untreated surfaces and those previously treated with linseed oil paint or other types of paint.
